Saw Toy Story 3 on Tuesday... I cried, like everyone said I would... I think what was so sad about it is that we have all been there. Having to leave somewhere, can only take a few possessions, so what do we do with everything else? You were watching this person, or cartoon character I should say, having to choose between past and future... Future won, of course, but it was so wonderful to see what he chose to do with his past. I loved it. Pixar always finds ways to get to the core... I think I was the only person to cry in the theatre too, because other than me and Jessica there were only mom's and children... Not that that's important or anything.. eh hem...SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! I will be talking about Lovely Bones so if you haven't seen it scroll down!!!!!!!
Watched Lovely Bones Monday night, and I have to say although it got really slow a
t times, I really enjoyed it. I had already read the book two summers ago so I remember a good majority of it, but not everything. I absolutely LOVED Peter Jackson's director choices, and the cinematography was beautiful. I could understand what they wanted us to focus on, what they meant by the tree flying away and the gazebo rotting and falling apart. I loved that he incorporated the dad's smashing of the glass bottles into them bieng ships wrecking onto shore. I thought it was done so beautifully. I do think they left some ends loose though... Mr. Harvey would not have just let Lindsay go and although in the movie it shows that she has gone on with her life and marries her high school sweetie and is preggo, in the book that doesn't come until very close to the end. There's a lot more to her story than what they portrayed in the movie, and I wish they had done it a little more justice. Lindsay was always buying for her dad's attention after Susie was murdered, because Susie was clearly the favorite in the family, and they showed very little of that. ALSO they didn't even bring in Ray Singh's mom! She's a nut job and I was so looking forward to how they were going to accomplish that, but they never did. Very disappointed. AND Mr. Harvey shouldn't die, especially not getting hit my an ice crystal and falling down a very steep hill. Although I see the metaphor, that Susie was the one who dropped the crystal on him and he fell into the sinkhole where so many other objects are thrown to disintegrate, he shouldn't die. It takes away a major creep factor that this guy is still out there... I will say this though, it was extremely well done for those who haven't read the book...

It weird that it's already close to the end of June... We only have 6 more weeks of summer left, I know, that sounds silly to say, but 4 weeks just went by with a blink on an eye... I am doing nothing with my life but working... I love it and hate it all at once. I need to start working on monologues, reading plays, getting my life organized. Had a dream the other night that it was 4 weeks into school already, and I hadn't been going to the class I had wait listed, which is possibly the most important class for my theme, and so I couldn't sign up for it... I was devastated... I think that's what I am most scared of, thinking I have everything under control and ready, only to find out I still have like 2 more classes to take... It would be horrifying...
I'm really starting to freak out about this apartment situation... We have had one hit so far and even though they really liked it at first, we've heard nothing back from them... That was like 3 weeks ago.... I don't know what to do... AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Here's a link if you need a place!!! http://chico.craigslist.org/apa/1793433181.html
Well, I guess all I can say is life goes on... It will be figured out and all will be well... I hope...
