So, again I apologize for such a long time in between blogs. I don't know what's up with me. I was planning on doing one every week and I have done maybe 6 this entire summer. Speaking of summer, we have 2 weeks of it left. GAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! Usually about this time I'm ready to go back to school, except I'm not... And I can't figure out why... Maybe because I'm done? Over it? I only have a year left and I know I should be cherishing every moment but I kind of just want it to go back with the blink of an eye.. I know, that's bad...
Monologue hunting and working is going okay. I have one for sure and another maybe. I'm just having a really hard time connecting with them. I know how I want to connect, and what would hit home, but my mind isn't letting me reach my loins. SHUT UP BRAIN! Talk about frustrating... I'm going to read Machinal today and see how it works. There's one in there that I really like (but don't do it unless you LOVE it!) so I'm going to read the play and see how it fairs into the story. It's just really long... I will say that Theatre 350x has given me about 10 plays that I never thought I ever would have read, and here I am, looking at my third monologue from them. Though that class is hard, the results are wonderful.
GREAT NEWS! We have been living in our new apartment for a week and a half and have been done with Village at the Timbers since August 1, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. YYAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!!!! Words cannot describe my excitement. The boys were so nice who took the place too. Me and Jessica literally spent 9 hours scrubbing the place on Wednesday. 9 HOURS! Then we came back and did some touch ups; covered up holes, painted, cleaned the remains of anything and picked up the rest of our stuff, and left. Came back that Sunday to hand over the keys and gate clickers and we were off on our way. I felt, and still feel, so relieved. Our new place is so magical. I love it. And although we have to pay for water and sewage, which I am pretty frustrated about seeing as how they didn't tell us until we signed the freakin lease, it's definitely worth it. The tile flooring, the spacious kitchen, my big room, the washer and dryer, they are all WONDERFUL. Man... Life is great...
Winter's Tale AND Cupid and Psyche open tonight. OMG! It's pretty crazy how fast time flies. It feels like just yesterday Ryan and I split, I went to San Fran and was crushin! haha But in all seriousness, as much as I want to speed up, that's the last thing I need to do... If anything, I need to slow down and take my sweet time... Time is such an interesting thing...
I'm ridin' solo bitches!!!
