Everybody Talks

I went out last night and partied. HARD. I drank a lot and I danced a lot and I puked A LOT.

This was maybe the fifth time we have done anything concerned with the nightlife since moving here and I have to say my friends, I am out of practice. Living in Chico it was a lifestyle. You went to school in the day and you went to the Bear or La Salle's or Panama's at night. You just did. No one questioned it, some tried other things, but really the downtown scene in Chico was what you did at night if you were 21+. And it was FUN. Looking back, we were spoiled. $3 massive teas, seven bars within a quarter mile radius, dance floors, easily accessible and cheap food, nice people. Man. I miss Chico.

What I did last night was insane. I can't comprehend how I could have possibly managed to do that four nights a week while going to school full time, working and doing shows, but like I said, it was a lifestyle. My damage: Two irish car bombs, a mudslide, a 20 oz. Blue Moon, a Coors Light, a shot of Whiskey (not my choice, but a lady never turns down a free drink from a bartender), two more regular sized Blue Moons.

THAT'S A LOT OF ALCOHOL. And I drank it all. And it all came right back up at about 2 in the morning, after a night of hardcore dancing to an 80's cover band and two slices of pizza.

Holy shit.

Here's an update on my life that excludes alcohol.

Been living in Koreawood for 7 months now. Still doesn't feel quite like home, but I have spoken with a few people and they said they didn't feel at home in LA until about a year, so I'm not weird. It's normal. It is one hell of a roller-coaster, I'll tell you that. Summer was slow, which I discovered is not uncommon. The LMU pilot I filmed back in March was picked up by the ROAR network they have for students and is back in action. I start filming that again at the end of September. I was cast in a low budget horror feature called Bloody Bobby that I will be getting SAG vouchers and a paycheck from, start filming that in November. I filmed a short for a UCLA summer intensive in July. I scored a three day background gig for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in the beginning of August (the absolute highlight of my summer by far). The commercial I shot in March was picked up for another year, which is really cool. I still work at UMAMIcatessen in downtown, but I am hoping to transfer to a different location and train as a server. I still attend iO West as both an intern and a student. I was cast as a scare-actor for Hollywood Horror Nights at Universal Studios, my role is 'cornfield witch' (I shit you not) and I will be walking around the park scaring people and getting paid for it. I guess it will be fun... I have upgraded from my little blue coche to a charcoal grey Accord that my wonderful father drove over from Houston. Still auditioning a butt-load. Working a butt-load. Staying busy Meeting a lot of people every day. Living the dream.

A little side note, I'm going to Las Vegas for my birthday. BOOM. I guess it's time to find another birthday dress.
